Sister Mary Hilda Ify Uzokwe, DMMM

President, Founder

Sister Hilda is a missionary in the United States whose contact with refugees has strengthened her resolve to remain an ardent advocate for the less privileged in the society. Sister holds a Ph.D in law and wants to spend the rest of her life pleading the cause of the poor, the needy, the underprivileged and the marginalised in our society. As a human rights expert, Sr Hilda aims to empower through the help of generous individuals, indigent persons especially, the mentally and physically disabled- one person at a time.

Deacon Michael Oles

Director/ Supporter/Fundraising Volunteer

Deacon Mike is a physicist and has worked in different capacities in the United States Air Force, NASA Apollo 11, aerospace and as a school teacher. He has given a home to close to 10,000 homeless individuals in six states of the USA since after establishing his Off the Streets mission in 2009. Deacon Mike, is an indefatigable and dedicated Catholic clergy who goes about doing good. His passion to help immigrants and the poor is unrivalled. He will assist with announcing what we do and getting those donations in!

Oby Egbunike - Hope for indigent persons

Oby Egbunike

Oby is a mechanical engineer and was in the oil sector for a decade before migrating to the United States. She works as Director of Coding and Education at Lahey, Boston. She is an accomplished administrator who continues to make waves in her career. She is committed to the poor and the needy and will help to spread the word out there for HIP.

Melanie Cicon - Hope For Indigent Persons

Ms Melanie taught Chemistry in High School for 35 years. She has a graduate degree in science and has since retired from teaching. She has unflagging dedication to immigrants and spends a whole lot of time mentoring and providing help to those in need. Her dedication and commitment to the organisation opens her up to volunteer as a fundraiser.

She was a special educator for 29 years before retiring. She has a BS in social work and completed certification in special education before going into teaching. She ardently believes in the Bible teaching that we are all immigrants in foreign lands and she’s committed to the Lord’s calling to serve underprivileged persons in any way she could.
